Unhappy Uploading Photos.

I've just tried to upload two photos to the gallery without success, I reduced the size like I have to on Railway Forum but no luck.

I'm not an expert on uploading photographs.

Wait for one of the moderators to reply.

What size do you use, mine are around 1200x700 pixels which I find is ok for laptops. This might be a bit small for people with bigger screens but the pictures seem to upload without any problems at this size. I have noticed that if I forget to re-size a photo before I post it will not send.

All I do is to resize down to 1000 pixels wide x 748 high and upload without a problem, hope this helps!

I've recently (ie 12th August) uploaded two photographs taken at Biggar Rally - 700/750x650 - but they seemed somewhat large compared to some others.

Is there something other than pixel dimensions?

My camera images are around 3872x2592 (it says), so I reduce them using M$Paint to 25% of their size (height and width) and then crop them.

Is there a better way (that doesn't involve buying Photoshop).

I have no desire to start tinkering with my photographic images (other than resize them to suit 'publication').

Not sure about uploading to here.
However, I use "GIMP" (which is free) to crop and scale/re-size images before I upload to Ipernity.

I try to take full frame shots and then downsize them on Paint, this is the only thing that I do to them.
