Hi Mike,
Sorry for the late reply. I couldn't for the life of me remember where the message went to after reading it last night.
Sounds like you had a excellent Xmas what with all that lovely sunshine and BBQ.
Weather here was overcast, and windy, but dry for a change. Found out this morning that the temp reached 14.3C. a record for this time of the year in N.Ireland.
I got me a new camera (Nikon D300s) for Xmas, cost me a bomb, but well worth it. The results are much better than I could produce with my trusty old Nikon D100. No plans to retire the D100, I'll be sending it to Nikon for a long overdue full service, and keeping it as a back up camera in case something goes wrong with the D300s.
Well today 26th, the weather is much the same as yesterday, overcast and windy, but I'll be going out later to see if there's and trucks on the roads to make a few photos of them.
Best wishes and a Happy New Year

Hi there,
I just wanted to wish you guys all the very best for Xmas and happy and safe new year.
As I type this I know you haven’t woken up to Xmas, but I can tell you we have a beauty.
I walked on the beach this morning with the 2 dogs and at 9am it was already quite crowded with people setting up BBQ’s and Xmas picnics. It is about 23 degrees and sunny, 2 to 3 knots on shore breeze and the pohutukawa’s (NZ’s Xmas tree) are in full bloom, and frankly, you couldn’t ask for more.
I am now just waiting for the cook to serve while I patiently wait, with a red in hand!.
All the best guys, look forward to another years photos and repartee.
Mike
