Need help about Bristol 1966
Hello all
I found a Bristol twin bus from the year '66, it needs restauration. The seller told me that all the mechanics are ok, exept the brakes. Can somebody tell me if this model has issues with weak parts, or if there are things that need special attention? We would like to make a food truck, it was used before as a driving pub. Thanks for your answers and tips! |

Welcome to Truck and Bus Forum, Aroma.
First of all there were many models of Bristol produced over many years:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol...rcial_Vehicles I don't understand what you mean by 'twin' - do you mean double-decker? |

Thanks for the quick reply! It looks like this one:
FSF Double deck 30 feet (9.1 m) Diesel FSF = Flat-floor, short, front entrance. Discontinued in 1962. Preserved Cheltenham & District bus 6037 (802 MHW) 1961 Bristol Lodekka FSF ECW, 11 May 2011.jpg I would to post some pics, but I don't know how... Its going away for a bargain-pruce, I can have it for around 6000 Euro. |

As I recall, the FSF was only 27 feet long, usually with ECW H34/26F bodywork. The FLF was 30 feet long, with H38/32F bodies. However, Eastern Scottish and Alexander (Fife) did have LONGER FLFs, which were 31.5 feet long, with H44/32F and a forward ascending staircase. The ES FLFs were used almost exclusively on Edinburgh - Dalkeith - (Midlothian mining towns) services.
