Dangerous Goods
A Polish driver who boarded a cross-Channel ferry and failed to declare dangerous goods has been fined £2,000 and was ordered to pay £3,757.98 in costs after pleading guilty at Folkestone Magistrates court last week.
In November the driver boarded a SeaFrance ferry in Calais which had 228 people on board. His truck was carrying 338kg of methyl methacrylate monomer, stabilised, which he intended to take through Dover. |

"Ironically, based on the dangerous goods information produced by Tanasoaie, if he had presented them to the shipping line when booking in, he would have been able to board the ferry without any problems."
