Rugby Truck Show (Jim Marshal Memorial Transport Gathering) 2009

Just to let you all know that the Jim Marshal Memorial Transport Gathering 2009 (Rugby Truck show) is not taking place.
The organisers felt that in the present economic situation it would be both unfair to ask our sponsors (who are feeling the pinch too) for more cash and that if the recession deepens by October we would not attract the figures to make the show viable.
2008 raised £1000 for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and we know that the Honda Gold wing Club raised a very good amount at the event. The total from the event was near £2000 which I think was very good for our first Show
However, God willing, the show will be back on the Calendar for 2010.
I still live in hope that I will get all 6 numbers on the lottery!!!
