750x20 Tyres and Wheels

Can anybody give an approximate weight for a 750x20 tyre mounted on a split rim steel wheel? I'm buying some for my Bristol SU but can't secure a quote for delivery without an approximate weight... Help gratefully received!

Initial search suggests 100lbs for the wheel only.

Tyre weight is proving difficult to find, best estimate would seem to be:-

The weight of a used truck tyre is about 53 kg.

but that would be a much larger tyre than 7.50x20.

an 18/32" rib tire in the 295/75R22.5 size, which would have an overall weight of around 110 lb. as an example.

I would therefore guess at about half that weight - maybe 60lb at most.

When I was working I would have had access to all the weights that you require. These were published (by me) in a thick catalogue which was supplied to bodybuilders. Included was the dimensions (including weights) of every production option - so that the bodybuilder could calculate payload (and therefore body size required).

If only I still had my books . . .

This seems to suggest a much lighter weight (34 lbs) for a 7.50x20 tyre, but I suspect that it is a lighter construction than your type of tyre.
It seems from the loads to be for an SUV rather than a bus.

Using this as a minimum it seems that 50-60 lbs might not be too far out for your tyre.

Thank you so much for the calculations - I hadn't expected such a speedy and thorough reply!

I'll ask for a quote based on 150lbs per unit and let you know how I get on.
