Cool New Member!

Hello guys!

Back in the "good ole 80's" I was a lorry driver for 7 years, driving for supermarkets. Back then I drove a Scania 111.

I gave it up because of family commitments, but now, I don't have any, since my daughter is grown up.

So, a month ago, me and my mate were talking, and we decided we should start up a removal company! Since we both have the relevant licenses.

By the next day (we don't have much patience!) we both had bought a lorry each, and got them kitted out with decals of the business!

I bought a 1995 Iveco, and my mate bought a 1985 Scania.

Both lorry's have seen a bit of use, but they still drive like new... Ish!

The business has really taken off, so it has been a great idea!

I'm now also in the process of buying a damaged 2004 MAN lorry, which will be used for long distance hauls, as the Iveco and Scania aren't in the first flush of youth, and with 340,000 miles on the Iveco and 510,000 miles on the Scania, I wouldn't put my faith in the engines to deliver cargo over thousands of non stop miles!

The MAN I'm hopefully purchasing only has 90,000 miles on it, as it was damaged after only 1 year of use, and put in storage since then, and forgotten about basically.

Right, that's all for now!

You will soon, the lorries are hardly at home recently though due to lots and lots of hauls!

I can't believe how well the business is doing!

I should have started a removals company years ago.
