Really? 20 cwt = 1 ton
1500 cwt = 75 ton!

Oldest Haulage Company

Berry's of Taunton was founded in 1920 and is still going strong, but having been nationalised in 1948 they changed from road haulage to passenger transport and now operate a modern fleet of coaches from a depot in Taunton, the company used to operate from the village of Bradford on Tone about 3 miles away. It is still a family business now run by the grandson of the founder.

Look out for us (I'm one of the drivers) on the M5 and M4, A 303 and M3 every day with our Volvo/Van Hool Astrobell double deckers on our London Superfast Service. Coaches are white with red design on them. We also operate all over the UK and into Europe.

You'll have to run up the M6 to Leyland or the A55 to Anglesey to get caught by our resident photographers (or you could send us some photographs yourself . . . ).
