Welcome.
I'm too old to have relevant information about driving - I achieved my HGV licence through grandfather rights (as I had been driving before the licence was introduced) and I used a logbook rather than tachographs . . . but there will be members here who have taken Certificates of Competence so will be able to advise you - just wait around for them to appear. Meanwhile, if you have any stories or photographs we would love to see them.
