Routemaster gearbox problem

Hello and happy new year to you all.

I have a 1965 Routemaster RML2321.
I have a problem with the gear selection. I cannot engage reverse gear. does anybody know a solution to my problem?

When you say you can't engage reverse do you mean that you can't physically move the gear selector, or is it not engageing in the box ?
