What a great old film, it certainly brings back memories of my schooldays. It's hard to remember just how many older vehicles were on the road in those pre MOT test days. A lot of the commercial vehicles were pre- war, from the 1930's or earlier.
Also some of the old shops ' Weaver To Wearer ' the tailors for instance. Then there is the Shot Tower on the South bank of the Thames ? It comes into view when the car stops at the crossing on the South side of Waterloo Bridge. Can you imagine that being demolished in the this day and age - it was a criminal act back then really. |
