I remember that bridge and unless things have been changed in recent years there was a sign giving directions to use the road it crossed to get to Thorpe Park. When I worked for Stanwell Buses they would extend one of the routes in the Summer months and run buses from Staines town centre into the park. As they only operated Nationals on this service they used that road because it was the shortest way to get there.

I don't think this is the first time that a bus has gone under that bridge Robert, I always remember the old saying " There But For The Grace of God " when I see or hear of events like this.
