models

No collectors or modellers out there? I would have thought that there would have been, so have a look in your cupboards and see what you have from days gone bye, like the sixpenny truck from Woolies

Hi MackMan,I like to do a bit of modelling - no,not on the catwalk - only trouble is I can't find an AEC/Leyland/ERF or any other British wagon in kit form.Plenty of continental stuff,Volvo,Scania,MAN etc..
Do you know any suppliers?

Hi Mandator, Sorry cant help you with the kit forms as I presume you mean the plastic kits. You may still be able to get white metal kits but I think they are becoming as rare. The only way is to scratch build then you can make them to your own size. At the moment the only ones I have been doing are toys, but I am now doing some drawings to make a DAF Super, but how long that will take I dont know. Sorry I could not be more help.

Toy collector

I'm a miniature or toy collector, but I don't build models. I prefer to buy die-cast. I don't find many European trucks though. Can you lead me to any websites or catalogs where I might be able to buy some nice trucks?
Thank you.

Die cast trucks

Hello skdoodah, I have bought some trucks in the US and I prefer 1/18th, most of the Euro trucks are in a smaller size I belive 1/43 maybe smaller .We have quite a few toy fairs here in UK and the local one always has a good selection of UK and European stuff, there are also some shops who attend these fairs and they may be preferable to buying unseen online let any of us know if you need more help ,,,,Best Wishes .Alan

I was worried about advertising, but as it doesn't benefit (financially) anyone here I'm hoping it won't offend . . .
I 'found' it when searching for an image of a Freightliner FLB Cabover (!).
If you 'prune' the URL you can 'break into' the rest of the site.
There are some complete models too (including a Volvo VNL780 http://www.ppw-aline.com/special_discounts.htm ).
