Thurmaston Bus using Metrobuses
Thurmaston Bus of Leicester are currently using their entire fleet of MCW metrobuses due to a falling out between the leasing company and TB.
The falling out saw the entire allocation of ALX400 deckers and Several deenis enviros as well as Dennis darts, being removed from the site. Local bus enthusiasts in the area are quite excited and have brought out their cameras! (including me, as of tomorrow) This will provide a most unusual site of Ex WMT Metrobuses being used on various routes in Leicester. For local users of the companies route in the city, please note that they are running a restricted timetable, so cut them some slack the guys are doing their best! If you are a local bus enthusiast and have an interest in MCW metrobuses, get your cameras out sharpish!! |

It is really. out of all the companies in Leicester thurmaston and Centrebus have the most varied bus types on public transport.
amazing thing is the metrobuses are about 30 years old now, and all the drivers i know have said out of all the buses, they are the most reliable, start up everytime with no hesitation, even in winter and will probably outlast any bus that Arriva fox county use (bar the Volvo olympians). Need to make a move with the camera though because the new arrivals for the fleet will be near enough all painted and in service within two weeks. Glad to hear you also did some work for MCW, without them we wouldn't have some interesting buses |
